Our Curb and Gutter Curbers can be a cost effective way to produce curb and gutter, however you must be willing to overcome or deal with the following.
Grade: Any of our machines configured for curb and gutter cannot make automated grade changes while extruding. Any imperfections in your grade will result in the same imperfections in your curb and gutter. Example if your grade pitches up 5″ over 3′ then your curb and gutter will do the same.
Mix: Be prepared to spend sometime experimenting with a mix your are satisfied with the finish of the curb and gutter. Some customers will use our extruded curb mix recipe and are happy with that, others prefer a mix with a little more slump so they can use the “cream” from the mix to give it a nicer finish, We suggest you consult your local supplier to find a mix that you are satisfied with.
